Carrier oils are known as base oils, massage oils or fixed oils. Carrier oils are needed in aromatherapy to dilute essential oils to a level that is safe to be massaged onto the skin. Our Jojoba carrier oil is a rich, golden colored oil. This oil has gained a huge following in recent years for its fantastic moisturizing properties. Originally it was developed commercially as a replacement for spermaceti wax (derived from whale blubber) used traditionally in cosmetics. This oil is ideal for all dry skin conditions and can be used undiluted for really dry skins by just adding a drop or two to enhance any blend. Jojoba oil does solidify into a wax-like substance when cold. This is a natural occurrence and will reverse when warmed in the hand or left at a normal room temperature.

Coconut carrier oil is produced by refining the standard "fat-like" coconut oil to extract the liquid components needed to use in massage. This refining process makes the genuine oil odorless. Our Rosehip oil is collected from the wild growing Rosa Canina in the Peruvian Andes. This oil is said to have skin regenerative properties, and is good for aged skin, wrinkles and scar tissue, etc. It is naturally very nourishing and is one of the few oils that contains vitamin C, which is known for its healing properites.

Basil (M. Chavicol) Essential Oil is steam distilled from leaves and flowering tops. Properties of Basil Essential Oil includes analgesic, antidepressant, antispasmodic, calming, energizing, soothing, and refreshing. Basil blends well with lemon, bergamot, clary sage, lavender and orange. Essential oils can be used in inhalation, diffusers, massage lotions, body lotions, baths, showers as a compress and in aromatherapy.

Benzoin can be used as a digestive stimulant, to reduce cellulite, stress, uplift mood and improve mental clarity, acts as an astringent and tones oily skin conditions. It an also be used for relieving symptoms of sore throat, flu and viral infections. Benzoin blends well with Cypress, Juniperberry, Sandalwood, Lemon, Bergamot, Frankincense, Myrrh, Rose, Orange.

Bergamont essential oil has many uses.  Often used as an acne treatment and has an uplifting scent, refreshing, deodorizing, antiseptic, antiviral, anti-depressant, relaxant, motivation, concentration, good cheer, harmony and balancing.

Bergamot is a versatile oil as it can take on a relaxing aspect if mixed with relaxing oils like Lavender, Sandalwood etc. while used on its own or with other citrus oils it is generally more stimulating than relaxing.

• Used for: Acne, boils, cold sores, shingles, ulcers, eczema and psoriasis, may help heal due to its antiseptic, antiviral properties.
• Bergamot is ideal for all states of anxiety and depression due to its sedative yet uplifting qualities.
• Add 1 drop of bergamot on a cotton bud tip, carefully applied to a cold sore can aid the healing process.
• Applied quickly enough it can actually help to prevent the cold sore forming. Apply 3 times a day, until cold sore is healed.
• For a luxury facial treatment, blend 1 drop of bergamot with 1 drop of geranium essential oil in 5mL apricot kernel carrier oil (or an oil of your choice) and gently massage into face and neck.
• Ideal for most skin types this has the bonus of an uplifting, feel good sensation.
