How to care for your Oakworks massage table upholstery.
Ever wonder what is the best way to clean and care for the upholstery on your Oakworks massage tables and accessories? We get asked that question all the time, so we found out and put the information here for your reference.
Most every massage table, bolster, and stool is covered by a type of vinyl. Different manufacturers use different types of vinyl depending on their preference for softness, smoothness, and toughness. Since there are several vinyl manufacturer's out there, and different methods for making vinyl, it is important to make sure you know how to clean the specific vinyl that you have.
For Oakworks tables, the following cleaning advice is recommended.
CLEAN your upholstered items when needed using a mild solution of 4:1 diluted non-alcohol cleaner such as Formula 409®, Fantastik®, or Green Windex®
DISINFECT your fabric with Parker Labs Protex™ (EPA# 6836-152-82613), MADA Medical MadaCide-FD (EPA# 1130-15-11703), HealthLink® EZ-Kill® (EPA# 59894-10-67454 or Clorox® 10% household bleach solution (EPA# 5813-100) following the Manufacturer’s disinfection instructions.
DO NOT use citrus based cleaners or other strong cleaners, such as alcohol, acetone, higher concentrations of bleach or other products that contain high
concentrations of these substances.
DO NOT expose the fabric to temperatures below 32°F/0°C or above 95°F/35°C.
DO NOT expose the fabric to direct sunlight, adhesives,
liquids, or abrasive materials.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW RECOMMENDATIONS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY ON THE FABRIC.
