By moving the palms, thumbs, knuckles and forearms in rhythmic, dance-like motions, the congested areas of the body are released and dispersed.
“Lomi Lomi” means to break up into small pieces. This massage style is intended to find congested areas of the body and disperse them through rhythmic movements. This is the dance of massage, and it is as enjoyable for the person giving it as it is for the person receiving it.
Lomi Lomi is an ancient art of healing massage, as shown in the following excerpt.
