Citronella is used for its fragrance as an insect repellent both inside and outside the home in vaporizers. May also be added in small quantities to creams and after sun lotions. It is also believed to reduce excessive perspiration and act as an astringent for oily skin types. Can be blended into a carrier oil of your choice or diluted into a bath. Add a few drops to your moisturizer, or to soaps and shower gels to layer the fragrance. Extensively used as an insect repellent at home and in the garden.
